Thank you for visiting the portfolio of Janet Pahlau.

I enjoy a career as an artist and support professional in several disciplines. My marketing design, production and coordination experience covers more than 15 years in print, and over six years in web. I recently returned to my visual art and design roots with mixed media projects. I have proven ability to be productive, self-motivated and able to work with confidence and skill under deadlines.

My projects and client communications have been in the B2B, B2C and Nonprofit sectors. My career path in both print and web design has taken me to positions at an Ad agency in Canton, Marketing and Advertising at the Akron Beacon Journal, Web Master for the women's magazine Epitome, Web Marketing positions for Lubrizol Advanced Materials and University Hospitals and various freelance clients. My studies and work have lead to opportunities to experience and appreciate many forms of art with early classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art to my current involvement with the Akron Art Museum as a docent.

I seek creativity in all aspects of life, with a firm belief that creativity is necessary for innovative ideas and technologies. While creative passion may be where I draw my inspiration from, I leverage my creativity as a tool to provide the best support service possible.
